At Fishing Atlas, we believe your data belongs to you. Our app is designed to provide utility without compromise. We do not require accounts, we do not show ads, and we do not harvest your personal information.
Fishing Atlas does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
Because we do not use accounts, we have no way of identifying who you are.
The app requests access to your device's location to show nearby fishing spots on the map. This data is processed entirely on your device. We do not store your location history or transmit your coordinates to our servers.
To improve the app, we use PostHog for anonymous usage tracking. This data is strictly functional and covers events like "App Opened" or "Map Zooms." These events are anonymous and cannot be traced back to you.
We use third-party map providers (MapLibre and Esri) to display satellite imagery. These providers may receive standard technical information (like your IP address) to deliver map tiles to your device, as is standard for all map-based services.
